I can see how things can get out of control if your are talking about a spread in an area where healthcare workers can’t operate, but it’s still a little weird to think of this one being talked about being out of control with fewer than 200 deaths while the 2013 outbreak had around 10,000. Also that vaccine in the thumbnail picture didn’t even exist in 2013, and has proven very effective, so again it’s weird to think of losing control when we have a much better tool at our disposal this time around.

Luckily real viruses have to spread again when they mutate, they can’t just spontaneously become super deadly once everyone is already infected. On the downside, Ebola is already plenty deadly.
